Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 1996.
Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2000.
As a post-doctoral researcher he worked like a senior research at the Energy Technology Section, Process & Energy Department at Delft University of Technology and subsequently at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology at Politecnico di Milano. From 2007 he was Assistant Professor in Fluid Mechanics at the same University in Milano and now he is full professor in Full Professor of Fluid Mechanics.
He is a member of the scientific committee of the XXIV AIDAA International Conference at Palermo (Italy) and co-organizer of 43rd European Rotorcraft Forum at Milano in september 2017, co-organizer of symposia “Fluid-Structure Interaction” and “Nonlinear Rotordynamics and Rotating Systems” in ASME IDETC 2017 13th International Conference on Multibody Systems, Nonlinear Dynamics, and Control (MSNDC), Cleveland, Ohio, USA in august 2017.
He is also a member of ASME Technical Committee on Multibody Systems and Nonlinear Dynamics starting in July 2017 and he participated in Google Summer of Code 2017 as organization administrator and mentor.
Activity
He is the head of the cluster of all Labs at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology dedicated to Rotorcraft.
