Dr. Marilena Pavel is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Control and Simulation at The Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands. She has a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University in the area of rotary wing modelling. Dr Pavel is teaching courses in Rotorcraft stability and control, Advanced dynamics and Conceptual design of helicopters. She is responsible for helicopter activities at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering. She has contributed to the scientific literature with more than 100 publications in journals/conferences/book chapters in areas such as rotorcraft modelling, handling qualities and simulations.
Activity
Her research interests include primarily modeling helicopter flight dynamics, handling qualities, pilot modeling, aeroelasticity and applications of energetic modelling to rotary wings.
